David de Garavilla, Corey Sigle, Glenn Koser, Darrin Cummings and Brad Breese

Darrin began wrestling when he was five years old. He grew up in Long Island, NY where he attended Smithtown East High School. He wrestled throughout high school and continued his wrestling career in college at Bloomsburg University in Bloomsburg, PA. He received many wrestling awards along the way including 2nd place at NY states, and two time PSAC Place Winner for Bloomsburg University. Some highlights in Darrin’s career include three time Pac-10 Assistant Coach of the Year for Great Valley High School, 2005 Ches-mont Coach of the Year, 2005 Daily Local Newspaper Coach of the Year, and being inducted into the Smithtown High School Hall of Fame. Currently, he works as a sixth grade teacher at Lionville Middle School. He is married to Thea and has two children, Sydney, age 11 and Wade, age 8. Darrin would like to credit his dad for getting him involved in wrestling. He was an outstanding high school and college wrestler, as well as a Hall of Fame wrestling coach on Long Island. Darrin has a twin brother who was also a wrestler and currently serves as head wrestling coach at Smithtown East High School in Long Island, NY. Darrin’s hobbies include golf and reading. He loves to coach because he enjoys the competition and working with these type of athletes.

 

Corey started wrestling in 2nd grade. He graduated from Downingtown High School where he wrestled throughout high school and continued his wrestling career at University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He attended West Chester University and earned a B.S. in Health and Physical Education. Corey is currently pursing a M.S.A. in Athletic Administration and Principalship at West Chester University. Presently, he works as a Health and Physical Education teacher at Downingtown West High School. He is married to Kristine and enjoys golfing in his spare time. Coaching allows Corey to help student athletes realize their potential as well as set and achieve their goals. It also teaches them valuable skills and experiences that will allow them to succeed in wrestling and in life.

 

Brad started wrestling when he was six years old. He attended McGuffey High School and Stevens Trade School in Lancaster. He works as a Concrete Contractor. Brad has a wife named Kim and two children, Danielle, age 23 and Jake, age 21. His hobbies include anything that involves building. He loves coaching because he loves the sport and the people he meets along the way.

 

Glenn started wrestling in 1973 when he was nine years old. It was LYA’s first year of wrestling. He attended Lionville Jr. High, Downingtown Senior High and wrestled at Penn State University from 1982 – 1986. Wrestling awards and highlight include PIAA State Runner up 1980, PIAA State Champion at 132 lbs in 1981. He wrestled varsity at Penn State University for three years at 142 – 150 lbs. Currently, Glenn works as a mason and is employed by Witmer and McCoy. He has a wife named Jana and three daughters, Jennifer, Katie and Amanda. Glenn gives all the credit to his dad for getting him involved in wrestling. His dad coached LYA wrestling and his brother, Clair, Jr., encouraged him to participate. Glenn’s hobbies include fishing, boating and going to his daughters’ soccer games. He coaches because he loves helping wrestlers become better than they think they are. He likes to pass on techniques that help each wrestler become the best they can be. You would be surprised to know that Glenn delivered his youngest daughter, Amanda, on the turnpike.

 

Dave started wrestling in 4th grade. He attended high school at Downingtown High School (1998-2001) and The John Hopkins University (2001-2005). He is currently working as a mechanical engineer. Wrestling awards and wrestling career highlights include All-Chesmont, Great Valley Tournament Champion, Solanco Tournament Champion, Manheim Tournament 3rd Place, Southeastern PA Scholar Wrestler Award, Varsity Letter – The John Hopkins University and 5-1 Dual Meet Record Centennial Conference (2005). Dave is the son of Larry and Karen de Garavilla, has an older sister, Laura and a younger brother, Joe, who also wrestled for Downingtown West wrestling team weighing. His hobbies include wrestling, coaching wrestling, watching wrestling and visiting friends from school. Coaching allows Dave to help wrestlers realize their potential and achieve results through hard work both physical and mental. It helps him to share his knowledge of the sport with young athletes and continue to learn himself. You would be surprised to know that Dave almost went pro in dodge ball.
